I can find no flaw in Byatt’s telling and I think it is kind of laziness not to want to put in any hard work yourself for the pleasure of such a tale. The title and the theme of Possession run throughout the book. Which is why I think this book is a gold mine. It probably does tend to go to your head, the way that all works. This is one of those books that you remember every now and then after having read it and you miss it.
